From 29 July 1969 to 17 November 1970, the 4th Infantry Division, in conjunction with Republic of Vietnam Forces, conducted two large-scale operations, DAN QUYEN and Hines in Kontum, Pleiku, Darlac, and Binh Dinh, and Operation BINH TAY I, conducted from 5 to 16 May 1970, on Cambodian territory with a view to attacking and destroying North Vietnamese Regular units infiltrating into Military Region 2. As a result of these operations, the enemy suffered appalling personnel casualties as well as the loss of tons of war-making material, to include weapons, munitions, and foodstuffs... | ||
