MISSION: To extend by aerial means the reconnaissance and security capabilities of ground units. To engage in offensive, defensive, or delaying actions within its capabilities and to seize and dominate lightly defended areas or terrain features.

ASSIGNMENT: Organic to Armored Cavalry Squadron, TOE 17-105E (Modified).

CAPABILITES:

a. Performs air and ground reconnaissance, provides security for unit to which assigned or attached.

b. Engages in offensive, defensive, or delaying actions.

c. Conducts independent action when properly reinforced.
